State of Fashion

Starting off with a tip! Even though I would have loved to introduce a brand first - which will be the main focus on the blog - I did not want to wait any longer with this post!

Today is June 1st, 2018. Stating the obvious here, but it is a special day today and I want to share with you why that is. Today, the city of Arnhem (NL) is enriched by a new international fashion event: State of Fashion. The successor of the Arnhem Mode Biënnale focusses on sustainability, fairness and innovation in fashion and how these things go hand in hand perfectly. From today until July 22nd, 2018 there will be events, debates and a big exhibition in the Milk Factory. 

The main theme of the first edition is “searching for the new luxury”. Big names such as Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, H&M, Bruno Pieters and G-Star RAW are mixed with smaller or maybe unfamiliar names. The total of around fifty different projects will show the spectator a new definition of luxury. What is luxury? How can we make fashion more future proof? What is relevant nowadays? These are questions you might find an answer to when visiting State of Fashion.
